Microsoft is working on releasing a major update for its Photos App for Windows 10 users. The company is currently working on new features internally and have not yet been made available for testing with the Insiders.

One of the major feature that is expected to be included in the next major Photos app update is Remix 3D support. This feature is currently under works internally and should be made available for some selected Windows 10 Insiders very soon.

The Remix 3D feature lets users to download 3D models from internet and include them to their Photos and Videos collection. This feature as reported is still in works and should be made available very soon.

Apart from the Remix 3D feature, the company is also working on some more major features to its Photos app for Windows 10 users. The new features include Themes, Special Effects, Story Enhancements and more. These are the features which are already available in the Photos app which received  a public update recently.

There are some of other features on which the Photos team is currently working but are not available to Windows users or say hidden currently include a new Favorites section, Stickers and Text for Photo Stories and a Companion Photos app for iOS and Android. 

As reported the above features along with the Remix 3D support is still under works internally and have not yet been made available for Windows Insiders for testing in Fast Ring, but we expect Microsoft to include them in upcoming updates to the Microsoft Photos application.
