Microsoft has been very busy in pushing out new updates for its apps across platforms. Just couple of days ago the company introduced new changes to its Microsoft Edge browser for Android and iOS users.

The company also pushed out update for its Launcher app for both Android and iOS with new features. Today Android users are getting some more love with Microsoft pushing out another new update for its Launcher app for beta users.

The latest update to the Microsoft Launcher app is available for users who have signed in to the beta program. The update is a major one which brings new features like Visual Search and support for Microsoft Rewards.

The latest beta version 4.10 is available to download in the Google Play Store and introduces new Visual Search option. The new option lets users to search by using their phone camera. You would need to tap on the camera icon available in the Launcher search bar and click a photo to find details of landmarks, other items and more.

By clicking on the photo all the details will be searched automatically in just couple of seconds. To work with this feature you would need to give access permission to the camera app without which you will not be able to enjoy it.

Along with the Visual search option, Microsoft is also bringing support for Microsoft Rewards. This support is currently limited to users in the United States. You will be able to see the Rewards balance in the Launcher feed and will also be able to earn points if you use the Bing Search via the Microsoft Launcher application.

“Now Microsoft Rewards customers can see their Rewards balance in the Launcher Feed and earn points for using Bing Search through Microsoft Launcher,” the software giant explains.

Microsoft is also bringing support for deleting documents via the Documents cards in the latest update. The company has also made some improvements to the wallpaper and welcome animations.

This update also comes with some refinements to the users experience with bug fixes and performance improvements. As reported this update is available for those who have enrolled in the beta program on their Android devices and hence we would like to remind them that the application might not work as expected with occasional crashes.

Make sure to download the latest update from the Google Play Store only if you are using the Microsoft Launcher beta application on your second device instead of your main device. Do let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
