Microsoft has pushed out a new update for its OneNote Beta app for Android. The new update for Android is not a major one but comes with some new minor feature which would come in handy for OneNote users.

The latest update now brings you the ability to create or add different type of notes directly by clicking the OneNote icon on the Android home screen. You would need to press and hold on the OneNote icon which brings you to a new small menu with different options allowing you to create notes.

The new menu will come in handy if you are a frequent OneNote users and would like to open the required note by directly jumping to the specified option without having to go through the process of clicking a separate audio or video or note options.

The update also comes with the usual set of bug fixes and performance improvements. The most important thing to be noted is the new Press and Hold the OneNote icon to open different notes is supported for phones with Android version 7.0 and above.
