It has been more than one month since Microsoft released the Windows 10’s Edge browser for Android and iPhone. Today, Microsoft Edge for iPhone is getting a major update on the Apple App Store with new features and improvements.

The latest update for Microsoft Edge on iPhone finally adds the dark theme and it can be enabled from the Settings. Microsoft has also added left and right swipe gestures to navigate between the pages. Furthermore, Microsoft has also enabled support for actions and activities extension, allowing users to save sites to Notes and Pocket.

Microsoft is also introducing battery usage optimization improvements. Microsoft explains that a bug was causing Edge browser to consume more battery, with this update Microsoft has addressed the bug and you can browse the web without worrying about the device’s battery.

Microsoft Edge for iPhone has all the key features available in Windows operating system, it lets you sync favorites, reading view, and other content from the desktop to your mobile phone.

Last month, Microsoft explained that it brought Edge browser to rival mobile platforms as it was one of the very popular requests. “One of the most common requests we hear from people who use Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 PCs is ‘we want our browser experience to move to our phones’. You spoke, we listened,” Microsoft says.
