HealthVault is an Microsoft’s Cloud platform which is used for storing health data. The cloud platform is also terminating support for the MSN Health and Fitness app after 30th November and will no longer be able to synchronize data between Health Vault in the Fitness & Health App.

The Health Vault login which is being converted to the secure two step verification soon is one of the reasons for the termination of the MSN Health & Fitness App. After the two step verification being enabled Health Vault will ask users to verify their identity via a password and an additional separate contact method.

The enabling of Two Step verification is actually a good thing for the Health Vault users since it stores lot of sensitive and important data for users. The official statement from the HealthVault team reads:

“With this amendment, we will complete integration with the Bing Health & Fitness app starting on November 30, 2017 as it does not support two-stage verification. This change does not affect the information that you store in HealthVault. The information remains available through https://www.healthvault.com and the HealthVault apps. Please contact us at https://healthvault.com/support if you have any questions.”
