Microsoft had earlier in the week introduced a new generation Skype app. The New Skype app brings a new UI to the app which has been in Beta testing earlier this month.

Today the Redmond Giant is rolling out the update to its Skype app for all users on Android devices. Microsoft has introduced new features to the Skype app on similar lines to Snapchat Stories. The Snapchat Stories clone called as “Highlights” is a way of sharing the highlights of your day with your friends and family on Skype.

While in Snapchat the “Stories” last for just 24 hours but with the new Skype app the “Highlights last for 7 days”. The new Skype update also brings a new design which includes color gradients in the Messages in conversation UI and new add ons which let you access things from third party apps without leaving the Skype app.

The latest update for the Skype app is available to download on the PlayStore for Android users and users on Android can download it from the below PlayStore link.
