Windows Latest has obtained marketing images of an unannounced Lenovo ThinkBook laptop with an impossibly thin design. We also spotted the name”Aeroblade” in the device’s marketing materials, while the branding on the laptop itself clearly identifies it as a ThinkBook.

We found no prior use of “Aeroblade” anywhere in Lenovo’s lineup, and no other laptop maker uses that exact name either. Acer’s AeroBlade laptop cooling solution is the closest match, though. This unreleased device could either debut as ThinkBook Aeroblade or just ThinkBook.
ThinkBook is Lenovo’s business-focused laptop line, placed a notch below the premium ThinkPad series and built for small and medium businesses that want ThinkPad-like design without the ThinkPad price tag.
Lenovo is preparing to launch a super-thin ThinkBook Laptop
From the front, Aeroblade looks like a fairly standard ThinkBook at first glance: thin display bezels, a raised camera housing above the screen instead of a MacBook-style cutout into the panel, and “ThinkBook” branding stamped on the palm rest.

Looking closer at the keyboard, the keys look noticeably flatter than on other ThinkBook models we’ve seen, a strong hint that Lenovo trimmed z-height somewhere it usually wouldn’t. I have used several ThinkPads and ThinkBooks before, and deep keypresses are a trademark of Lenovo.
The side video of the upcoming ThinkPad Aeroblade looks nothing like any previous Lenovo laptops. The chassis edge looks almost blade-thin along most of its length, thinner, visually, than the USB-C ports.

There’s a small raised section housing those two USB-C ports and what looks like a microphone hole between them, and that housing is clearly thicker than the rest of the side profile, likely because Lenovo had no choice but to build a slightly raised pod just to fit the ports and the laptop internals.
We can’t rule out a tapered design that’s thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges, as camera angles can be deceiving, but even accounting for that, this still looks like one of the thinnest laptop chassis designs we’ve seen. The same photo also shows a large trackpad.
The rear view of the leaked ThinkBook confirms the thin profile continues around the back, with a dual-tone finish back cover, a centered Lenovo logo, and a raised pill-shaped housing for the web camera and possible IR hardware.

We are not sure of the ports on the right side of the machine, though; this doesn’t look like the kind of machine with a ton of ports.
Of course, if it wasn’t clear already, the Lenovo ThinkBook Aeroblade does come with Windows 11 on board, with a now remappable Copilot key.
Aeroblade could be a new ThinkBook model name built for thinness
Our best guess is that Lenovo is prepping a ThinkBook Aeroblade line specifically positioned around extreme thinness. We’re not certain of this yet, since a file name isn’t a confirmed product name.
If Lenovo is chasing record-setting thinness, it has one target to beat. The 10-year-old Acer Swift 7 14 currently holds the title of thinnest Windows laptop at under 10mm, though that machine is dated now and compromises on performance and battery to get there. Interestingly, this machine also uses the same method to house the ports.
Thin laptops have historically had to trade away battery and performance, along with running hot under sustained load, and it’s a real question how Lenovo fits a battery into a chassis this slim.
Silicon has caught up in ways that make this less of a compromise than it used to be. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 series and Intel’s Panther Lake chips both run efficiently enough at low power that an ultra-thin design doesn’t automatically mean weak performance or a dead battery by lunchtime, though without official specs, we can’t confirm which chip, if either, ends up inside Aeroblade.
