Microsoft Launcher app

Microsoft is releasing a new update for its Launcher app for Android users. This update is available for users who have not signed in as beta testers and it brings up new version 5.5.

Microsoft Launcher 5.5 introduces a number of new features, including a new hidden dock feature. This feature allows users to hide the dock but access apps and widgets. Microsoft has also improved support for notification badges and you will see notification badges for calling and messages apps.

“Get notification badges for calling and messaging apps without setting Microsoft Launcher as your default assistant. Set Launcher as your default assistant for better accuracy,” Microsoft explains.

The new update also comes with some UX enhancements to shortcuts when the home screen is locked. Another new improvement comes in the form of faster Tasks card syncing for Microsoft and work/school accounts.

Microsoft has been regularly working on adding new features to its Launcher app for Android device users who would like to experience deep integration with Microsoft services.

The latest update is part of such effort by the Redmond Giant which has made significant progress in making the app run as smoothly as possible for Android users.
