Microsoft is rolling out a new update to the OneDrive app for the Android devices. Apart from the general bug fixes and performance improvement, app updated with a couple of new features. The latest update pushed the app to the version 5.4.

With the latest update, OneDrive app for Android devices allows users to edit photos right in the application. User can crop, rotate and apply a variety of filters on an image. The performance of the image scan also received significant improvement. Overall navigation and searching feature also updated.

Furthermore, you can also trim and enhance the pictures. The trim functionality works same as Office Lens app. So now you don’t need a special scanner app to scan images. You can take a normal picture and trim it using the scanner functionality available in the OneDrive app. The trimming feature works flawlessly and delivers pixel clear images. In addition, OneDrive will also now allow you to capture photos and save them directly on OneDrive.

Here’s the official change-log of this update:

  • Crop, rotate and choose from new filters to digitise your physical world with our enhanced Scan feature
  • Quickly navigate and find photos from a long time ago in a place far far away with our new fast scroller in the Photo view
  • Save space on your phone by capturing photos and saving them directly to OneDrive within the app

You can go ahead and download the latest update of OneDrive app from here via Google Play Store. And Let us know in a comment below if you find any other interesting new features.
