Microsoft is today pushing out a new update for the Cortana app for Android devices with some usual performance improvements and bug fixes. The stable version of Cortana has been bumped to 2.9.12.2053 with the beta version now at 2.9.12.12060.

The latest update for Cortana is a minor one and there is no change log provided by the company of whats new or fixed in the update and hence we can assume that the update comes with general bug fixes and performance improvements for the Digital Assistant.

The previous update added new reminder widget which  has been modified from the existing widget. The other things in the update include optimization and improvements for Microsoft’s Digital Assistant.

Cortana currently has more than 1 million downloads reported on the Google Play Store and with Windows Phones almost dead, more users are switching to Android and iOS which shows that Microsoft’s plans of pushing and regularly updating its core apps on the rival platforms is helping the company achieve what it could not with its own Windows Platform.

The latest update to the Cortana app for Android is available and can be downloaded by clicking this Play Store link. Cortana is currently having over 150 million active users on all platforms and Microsoft has been regularly adding new features for its Digital Assistant available on all platforms.
