Microsoft has finally started the roll out of Creators Update for Windows 10 Mobile Devices. Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update is not a major upgrade over Anniversary Update but there are still some important bug fixes, plus performance has been slightly improved. Microsoft has already released Windows 10 PC Creators Update but the update for mobile was delayed. However, now it is live for selected Windows Phones.

As earlier announced by Microsoft, only 13 phone models are eligible for update. Microsoft is no longer supporting the old phones including the flagship ones under Nokia brand. However, you can try a simple registry edit to get Creators Update running on any Windows Phone.

  • HP Elite x3
  • Lenovo Softbank 503LV
  • MCJ Madosma Q601
  • Microsoft Lumia 550
  • Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
  • Microsoft Lumia 650
  • Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
  • Trinity NuAns Neo
  • VAIO VPB051

The powerful Windows Phones like Lumia 830, 930 are out of the list. Although, Lumia 930 runs Windows 10 better than the Lumia 640.

As Microsoft has just begun rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update. It may not be available on your phone now but it will be available for download on all eligible phones in the coming weeks. Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar has confirmed the roll out has started, it is rolling out in waves across regions now.
