Microsoft has just released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 and it advances the OS to Build 17134.254. The direct download links for Windows 10 KB4346783 are also available and you can manually upgrade your PC.

As it’s not Patch Tuesday, the update doesn’t come with any new features and security improvements. The focus of new patch for Windows 10 April 2018 Update is entirely on non-security fixes.

Windows 10 KB4346783 is available right now from Windows Update and the OS build will bump to 17134.254 after installing the patch. As we noted above, the changelog of the update is huge and Microsoft has addressed a long list of issues. First off, the software maker has addressed issues with Microsoft Foundation Class that may cause it to flicker. The update also comes with a fix for an issue where touch and mouse events were handled differently in apps that uses (WPF).

Microsoft has also addressed an issue in apps that have extensive window nesting. Microsoft Edge and other UWP apps are getting a fix for an issue where the client authentication may fail to function on certain devices.

There are several other improvements but most of them are aimed at enterprises and businesses. For example, the software maker has included a fix for an issue that causes the Wi-Fi EAP-TTLS authentication to fail.

  • Open the start menu and look for Settings cog icon located at the left pane.
  • In the Settings app, open System.
  • Select About and you’ll find the system details under the Windows specifications section.
