Microsoft is today rolling out a major update to Skype UWP app for Windows 10 PCs and Tablets. The update is being rolled out to all the Windows 10 users publicly and available for download on Windows 10 Mobile and PCs.
This is the same update that was released to Fast Ring Insiders couple of days ago. This update is available for Skype users on devices with Windows 10 Fall Creators update. The latest update pushes the app to new version 12.9.604.0 and brings along new features already tested by users on the Fast Ring.
You can now stay on top of your day with help from the notification panel. Users will also be able to quickly jump back into conversations to see reactions to your messages and @ mentions.
Expressing your feeling during a call has now been made easier with Emoticon, text or photo reactions. The Mixed Reality support has also been added in the latest public update making it easier for users to share your virtual world and activity over a Skype Video call with others.
You can now chat instantly with contacts without adding them to your Skype contact list by simply sending them a message and start chatting individually or in a group. There are improvements made for controlling the volume of other applications when you are active on Skype.
There are the usual improvements in regards to the performance of the application along with fixes for some under the hood bugs. The latest Skype update is available to download for all Windows 10 users on PC and Mobile from this Microsoft Store link.
