Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 Preview Build with version 16299.15 for Fast Ring Insiders, the Skip Ahead Insiders aren’t eligible for this build. Last week Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 16299 to Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring and Slow Ring. We would assume that the build released today could be the RTM Candidate which would get released on October 17th to the General Public as Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
The latest build is basically a cumulative update to Windows 10 Build 16299, it doesn’t come with any new features and bug fixes since the company is currently working on finalizing the RTM Candidate for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in two weeks time.
Windows 10 PC Build 16299.15 includes all the changes, bug fixes and improvements from the previous build 16299. Microsoft has however not detailed any changes introduced with the latest cumulative update.
The update mainly contained fixes for Microsoft Edge browser along with fixes for issues pertaining to Optical Drive and more. You can read our previous article to know more about the changes introduced with Windows 10 Build 16299.
The latest Insider Build is currently available for download and users on Fast Ring(Non Skip Ahead) can go to Settings > Update & Security >Check for Updates to install the new cumulative update. Microsoft has earlier announced that Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is coming to the general public on October 17 and as a result we are going to see only bug fixes in the upcoming Fall Creators Update builds.
