Microsoft today pushed out a new update for its Skype app for desktops for Preview users on Windows. The update comes with new features which are already available for Skype users on Android and iOS.

The latest Desktop update comes with the new Panoramic Photos feature along with the Skype Status. The latest update also comes with a Notification option for new messages received via the Skype App.

Users will now be able to view and include panoramic photos in their individual and group chats along with the Status Option called as “Highlights”. You will also be able to see the Status of your Skype contacts and know if any of your contacts is online.

The user’s also now  have the option to change the language of the app via the in app settings which is set to system’s language by default. Audio can now be routed through the headphones automatically while on an audio or video call.

The latest update to the new Skype Preview app is currently live and users can get it by clicking the below link. This update is only currently available for users who have signed in to be an Insider for testing the Preview Application.
