Cortana, the Digital Assistant built by Microsoft has been available for Android devices since December 2015. The company has been regularly pushing out updates to the digital assistant on Android devices.

The company has now released a new version of its Cortana app, specifically for Android devices made by Samsung. The app is already listed on the Google Play store as Cortana for Samsung (Unreleased), however the app is available for download for all users.

The latest version of the app is bumped to 2.7.0 which includes color customization and the functionality appears to be identical to the version intended for all Android Devices. However in-spite of the app being Specifically built for Samsung Android devices, can still be downloaded on other devices as well.

Microsoft which is selling the Galaxy S8 flagships in its US Stores and branding them as “Microsoft Edition” is pre installing some of its core apps on those handsets and is also looking to offer the latest version of Cortana to better integrate its own digital assistant with those devices.
