Microsoft released another update to Skype Preview app for public today. There’s no changelog provided but it is noticeable that the messages are now compact instead of big spaces between them. Other than this UI tweak, the update comes with reliability and stability improvements. The version bumped to 11.12.112.0. The update is available for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile with Anniversary Update. The update was already available for those who are enrolled in the Windows Insider Program.

Skype Preview has been a beta app for some time now. It made its first appearance publicly in August 2016. This is Microsoft’s answer to its users who are complaining that Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and phones have no competitive Skype Windows app (not Win32) for its very own platform.

Despite bugs on its initial release, the Skype team pushes frequent updates to make the app more stable, reliable, and feature-rich. But, it’s been a beta for 7 months now, looks like it is not Microsoft’s priority considering it is an in-house and built-in app for Windows 10? Do you agree that the development for this app is taking too long? Let us know in the comments below.
