Microsoft couple of days ago released a new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17063 for Fast Ring Insiders with many new features and improvements to the Operating System. The latest build includes the most awaited Timeline features along with “Sets” for some insiders and improvements to Cortana and more.

Along with releasing many new features the company unknowingly has produced a bug for Firefox browser users. Some of the Firefox users have confirmed that after installing the latest Insider Build 17063 on their PCs, the audio in the Firefox browser has stopped working.

The latest installation of Preview Build has infact broken the audio in Firefox for many users. The volume mixer when opened shows as no audio playing at all when in fact the sound is playing. Refreshing the browser or plugins to see if the audio was muted hasn’t solved the issue.

Many Windows 10 Firefox users have reported this audio issue with Firefox browser on the Feedback Hub along with raising complains that the same issue is being faced by other programs like OBS and Audacity.

We expect Microsoft is already aware of the issue and is in process of fixing the bug as early as next week. We will keep you posted once we have any more info on when a fix will be rolled out.
