Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar, Windows Insider chief has now announced that the company won’t be releasing any new builds to the Skip Ahead and Fast Ring Insiders until next week. We’ve been waiting for new builds ever since Microsoft has announced that the Timeline feature would finally be available for the beta testing with the next preview release.

Head of the Windows Insider Program has confirmed that the next Windows 10 Redstone 4 preview build has been delayed due to a unknown bug with the UWP apps. Unfortunately, the new Windows 10 build will only be released to the Insiders next week. “Windows Insiders we’ve hit a bug that prevents UWPs from opening so we will not be flighting a new build today. Have a great weekend,” Sarkar tweeted.

On the other hand, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed whether or not there will be any new Windows 10 Mobile build this week. Last month, Microsoft employee refused to comment on the future of Windows 10 Mobile Insider program.

The next Windows 10 build will include the Windows Timeline which is one of the features that Microsoft announced earlier this year. After beta testing of Windows Timeline, Microsoft will release the public version of feature with Windows 10 Redstone 4 update in the spring, however it all depends on development process and feedback.
“We’ve heard strong interest in this feature, and we’re pleased you’ll see it in the next WIP build going out to the Fast Ring.1 We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this experience,” Terry Myerson, EVP for Windows and Devices at Microsoft said.
