Microsoft is now rolling out a new update to Movies & TV app for Windows 10 Devices. The updated version of Movies & TV app is 2019.17092.12811.0 and it adds support for 360-degree video support with Windows Mixed Reality headsets and controller.
If you are using Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality Motion Controllers, the Movies & TV app is finally compatible with it. Meaning that you can use your Windows Mixed Reality Controllers to browse the movies in the app. The same update was earlier pushed to the Windows Insiders and today the non-Insiders can also grab the new version.
Unlike Windows Phone, Microsoft is serious about the Windows Mixed Reality platform. The best feature of Windows Mixed Reality is that it makes you feel like that you’re a participant in the virtual world, you can get inside the Minecraft game elements and become a part of interesting activities.
Formerly known as Windows Holographic, Windows Mixed Reality was announced at the Windows 10: The Next Chapter event in 2015, the mixed reality platform is developed and maintained by Microsoft.
The updated Movies & TV is available for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile, however, the mixed reality controllers support is apparently not available for Mobile. Movies & TV is one of the simple, fast, and elegant app on Windows, you can download it from the Microsoft Store.
