Microsoft has released a new update to People app on Windows 10 Mobile devices. The update has been rolled out to Windows Insiders in the Production Ring. The updated version comes with some noticeable changes.

People app has been updated to version 10.2.1551.0. The update removes the Fluent Design element and brings back the previous design. The last update added the Fluent Design changes but the app was buggy. However, now People app’s performance has been improved significantly.

The app will no longer crash and you will also not notice slowness while using People app. Microsoft will hopefully bring back the Fluent Design with future updates after they able to fix the performance related issues.

Microsoft has been readying its Fluent Design System, a way to easily create cross-device experiences that look right on a variety of screen shapes and sizes. It’s intended to help apps work correctly across everything from phones, through tablets, to laptops and desktop PCs with big displays. However, the Fluent Design System is about more than just screens. Indeed, it’s also intended to embrace devices that might have no screen at all, such as wearables or Cortana-powered smart speakers. Microsoft says the Fluent Design System will be able to cope with apps that interact through touch, ink, voice, gaze, and gesture, in addition to the traditional keyboard and mouse.
