Microsoft Store for Windows 10 is getting Timeline support for Insiders

Microsoft Store is getting a new update for Windows 10 that appears to be rolling out to the Insiders at the moment. The Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring and Release Preview Ring should be getting Microsoft Store version 11809.1001.4.0 or newer with support for Windows 10 Timeline.

For those unfamiliar, Timeline is a feature that helps you track what files, apps, web pages and other activities you’ve been working on over the past few weeks. Timeline feature was introduced with Windows 10 April 2018 Update, also known as Windows 10 version 1803.

Microsoft Store activities will now show up in the Timeline. It will track the app pages you open in Microsoft Store and display them in the Timeline. For example, if you open Microsoft Store and Word Mobile app page, the Timeline will display both Store and Word Mobile app listing in Timeline under what Microsoft calls “Activities”

This handly option can help you track Store activities that you’ve been performing over the past weeks and month.

Timeline is available on all Windows 10 April 2018 Update PCs. If you’re unable to find Timeline, look carefully at the taskbar and next to the Cortana search box, you will find an icon “Task View”.

If it’s not showing up, right-click anywhere on the taskbar and tap on “Show Task View button”.
