The redesigned Camera app for Windows 10 is faster, smarter and better than ever, it allows users to the use the multiple cameras connected to hardware on different windows. In other words, if you have two cameras attached, you can use a camera for clicking photos and another one for recording video at the same time.

Windows will finally remember the last camera you used and when you will launch the camera app, it will load the camera which you had used last time. Similarly, Windows will also remember the last used camera mode i.e video or photo, and use it the next time when the app is launched.

Microsoft is adding a new setting which would allow you to change the photo resolutions from 16:9 to any value, earlier there was a limitation of only max resolution per ratio. Microsoft is also making changes to the brightness slider which is now smoother and improved to show the actual value of the brightness.

The software is giant is removing the feature which shows a slider when swiped left on the camera button and as well as the ability of wheeling on the capture button between scenes i.e photos and videos.

The new Windows Camera app should land for everyone with the release of Windows 10 Redstone 4. If you are a Windows Insider, you can update your PC to Windows 10 Build 17074 and try out the new Camera app before anyone else.
