GPD has today officially announced the second generation model of the infamous portable gaming laptop. GPD Win 2 is a portable gaming laptop with a 6-inch display and full version of Windows 10 operating system. The gaming laptop is now available for pre-order for $649.
The GPD Win 2 features a sharp 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1280x720p resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device is powered by 64-bit Windows 10 desktop operating system with qwerty keyboard setup.
The gaming laptop is powered by Intel M3-7Y30 quad-core processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The super-portable laptop is in a micro-size coming with pretty good hardware, it also features a small keyboard and other features that you will typically find on a full-fledged laptop.
The GPD Win 2 includes 128GB SSD storage, a 7000 mAh battery which offers 6-8 hours of runtime, though it depends on the actual working conditions. It has all necessary connectivity ports including HDMI and USB Type C slot.
Since the keyboard is extremely small, it might be a challenge to write on it. The specification of the device is quite similar to those of Microsoft Surface.
