Windows 10 Start Menu

The free Windows 10 upgrade offer is ending on December 31. The official ‘loophole’ allows the consumers using an assistive technology upgrade their Windows 7 and 8.1 machines to Windows 10 operating system.

Microsoft is closing the last free Windows 10 upgrade loophole in exactly seven days from now. It is the only loophole that allows users to upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge. And this is absolutely your last chance to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, without paying a single cent.

In 2015, Microsoft announced the free Windows 10 upgrade offer for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users. The company allowed all Windows 7 and 8.1 devices with a genuine license to upgrade to Windows 10 for free in the first 12 months. The firm ended this offer on July 29, 2016, but it continued to allow users running accessibility features to get Windows 10 for free.

“If you use assistive technologies, you can upgrade to Windows 10 at no cost as Microsoft continues our efforts to improve the Windows 10 experience for people who use these technologies. Please take advantage of this offer before it expires on December 31, 2017,” Microsoft explained.

Microsoft says that the upgrade offer is only for those using assistive technology, while Microsoft allowed any Windows 7 and 8.1 users to upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge, as no verifications where being made. You can learn more about the free Windows 10 upgrade offer here.
