Windows Store is now receiving a major update on Windows 10 Mobile and PC. Microsoft has pushed the update to non-Insiders, it is available on Production. The update removes the Fluent Design changes from the Windows Store app.

With the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft is refining the look of key elements in Windows 10. While Windows 10 Mobile is not really getting the Fluent Design changes but the first party and even some third-party apps have got some Fluent design elements.

When Microsoft released Fluent Design update for the People app, the Windows Insiders reportedly faced performance issue. The similar problem occurred when Windows Store was updated with the Fluent Design element. Today, the company has removed the new design elements but they have also tweaked the interface to refine the look of the Windows Store.

Microsoft has changed the background color to dark grey on both mobile and PC. Another noticeable is the introduction of new drop-menu that has options such as Downloads & Updates, Settings. Furthermore, the company has separated the “Add work or school account” option from the drop-menu.

The Windows Store is now significantly faster on low-end Windows Phones. The new update is still rolling out, it will be available for everyone in the coming days.
