Windows 10 Creators Update will be rolling out to Windows 10 PCs and Tablets on April 11. However, Microsoft has already released Windows 10 Creators Update via Upgrade Assistant and Media Creation Tool. If you own a Toshiba Windows 10-powered device, you may need to make some changes to the PC in order to install Creators Update.

Microsoft has revealed that the Windows 10 Creators Update installation has been blocked by Toshiba Display Utility Tool. For those who don’t know, Toshiba has developed a software, Display Utility Tool and it comes pre-installed on most of the Toshiba PCs. Toshiba Display Utility displays basic information of a computer and diagnoses its built-in devices.

Don’t worry, as there is a workaround available and it is very easy to perform. All you need to is remove the Toshiba Display Utility tool from your Windows 10 PC. The Toshiba Display Utility is currently not supported on Windows 10 Creators Update, hence it is preventing the devices to install updates.

Toshiba hasn’t released any statement. However, hopefully, the company will release a fix as the software allows users to adjust display settings, such as resolution and text size.
