For enterprises, Microsoft has addressed an issue that was experienced when the user enabled per font end-user-defined characters (EUDC). The bug resulted in an issue where the system stopped working and booted to a blue screen.
Microsoft has fixed another bug that may cause apps that use MSXML6 to stop responding. Similarly, today’s patch also includes fixes for Internet Explorer where the browser and few other apps experience authentication issues.
Today’s update also includes the general security updates to Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Virtualization, Windows SQL components, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows MSXML, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Server, Windows Kernel, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks and Microsoft Edge.
As you can see, all the changes are aimed at enterprises. However, the update apparently also includes underhood fixes and general performance improvements.
Another patch for Windows 10 May 2019 Update
Yesterday, Microsoft shipped the Windows 10 May 2019 Update to Insiders in the Release Preview ring. Microsoft also promised that cumulative updates will be pushed out to the May 2019 Update PCs in the Release Preview Ring before the public rollout in late May 2019.
As the company advances towards the final development stage of the update, Build 18362.53 is now out for Windows 10 May 2019 Update devices and it comes with underhood fixes.
Microsoft recently announced the Windows 10 May 2019 Update will go live for production devices next month. It is worth noting that software maker hasn’t provided a specific release date, but in the announcement post, the company stated that it plans to make the update available sometime in late May.
