Windows Phone has been hit by another big setback as Well Fargo is dropping support for its app. Well Fargo, a well-known banking app will soon stop working on the Windows Phone devices. In an email to the users, Well Fargo announced the sad news for the customers.

It is not surprising as Microsoft has themselves given up on Windows Phone, the company is internally testing the new version of Windows 10 on Mobile. Wells Fargo could have launched a universal Windows 10 app instead but the company seems to have entirely given on the Microsoft’s mobile platform.

You’ll be not able to use the Well Fargo Windows Phone app starting October 24, 2017. The bank recommends the Windows Phone users to use the website as it is well optimized for use on smartphones and provides a mobile-friendly experience. Well Fargo released the following email:

To focus on delivering exceptional digital experiences that our clients use the most, starting October 24, 2017, we will no longer support the Wells Fargo Mobile App for Windows phone. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

For fast and easy access to your accounts, you can continue to visit wellsfargo.com from your smartphone’s browser. Wellsfargo.com is optimized for use on your smartphone and provides a mobile-friendly experience.

Back in mid-2016, Wells Fargo announced its app for Windows 10 Mobile as the company retired the Windows Phone 8.1 app. It seems due to lack of users, the company decided to give up on Windows Phone platform.
