Microsoft has today updated its Groove Music app for Windows 10 insiders on Redstone 4 fast ring. Redstone 4 builds were enabled by Microsoft via the Skip Ahead (which is now closed) feature of Windows Update. This update takes the app to version 10.1702.1261.0. There are some new features in this update and some bug fixes as usual.

This update has now brought the ability to change the playlist settings like editing image with Windows Ink support, change titles and the playlist description. Another feature added in this update is of the Spotlighted Playlists where users will be getting tailored playlist suggestions based on the kind of music you are regularly listening on Groove.

Microsoft is also working on bringing a major update to the Groove Music app for Windows 10 devices. The upcoming update will be bringing back the Windows Media player like music visualizations, equalizer and more. Playlist personalisation and Spotlighted Playlist have arrived in this update so we will soon be seeing the visualizations and equalizer in the next updates.

It looks Microsoft will not be bringing all features at one go rather they will be releasing them in stages. These features are currently being used internally and would soon be available for Windows 10 Redstone 4 builds.
