Windows 10 November 2019 Update

It’s Patch Tuesday time for supported versions of Windows 10 and new batch of cumulative updates are now rolling out via Windows Update. As usual, direct download links for Windows 10 KB4560960 offline installers are also available.

Windows 10’s June 2020 Patch Tuesday update comes with a number of security fixes and improvements. Microsoft says it has resolved security issues with Windows Store, Internet Explorer, and even classic Microsoft Edge.

KB4560960 brings up Windows 10 Build 18363.900 and the patch is available for PCs with Windows 10 version 1909/1903 (November 2019 Update/May 2019 Update). Not sure which version of Windows 10 you’re running? Open Settings > System > About, and the version number will appear right under Windows specifications.

If you have version 1909 of Windows, you’ll be getting the patch noted in this article. For those with version 2004 (May 2020 Update), Microsoft has released another patch that brings up Build 19041.329.

Windows 10 KB4560960 (Build 18363.900) Full Changelog

Windows 10 Build 18363.900 for November 2019 Update and May 2019 Update includes an identical list of fixes.

Microsoft says that the update comes with a change that would improve the security of the classic Edge browser and discontinued Internet Explorer 11.

As per the changelog, Microsoft has also improved the security of apps and services that perform basic operations of Windows. Additionally, there are security enhancements for Microsoft Office products and external hardware including mouse, keyboard, game controllers, and web cameras.

The update includes security fixes for both Xbox and Microsoft Store. It also resolves an issue preventing users from updating .msi files from a network folder.

The new build addresses security issues with Windows Kernel, Windows Media, Windows Silicon Platform, Windows Management, Spatial Audio, Windows Authentication, Microsoft HoloLens, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Shell, and other core components of the desktop OS.

Known issues

Microsoft is aware of a known issue where devices with a wireless wide area network LTE modem may not connect to the internet, but Windows will still indicate that the PC has an active internet connection.

Microsoft says it plans to fix issues with select LTE modem in an upcoming release.

As usual, you can download and install the update by heading to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. If you want to delay the patch for 7 days, you can click on the pause update option.
