Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.12 is now rolling out to all supported Windows Phones with the Fall Creators Update. The update is available for non-Insiders and Microsoft hasn’t detailed the changes introduced with Build 15254.12. Since it is a cumulative update, we can assume that this build includes general bug fixes and performance improvements.

If your Windows Phone is ‘officially’ on the Fall Creators Update, you are eligible for Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.12. Unsupported Windows Phones such as the Lumia 640 & 640 XL aren’t eligible for new software release. Microsoft has however released a new build for the old phones as well, you can learn more about it here.

Microsoft began rolling out the Windows 10 Mobile version of its Fall Creators Update on October 24. Unlike the PC version, the Fall Creators Update for Mobile included improvements and minor new features like portrait mode in Continuum.

Now as Windows 10 Mobile is no longer Microsoft’s focus, you should not expect any new features for the operating system. However, Microsoft will still release the new cumulative update for all phones which will include security fixes, meaning that your Windows Phone will continue to be better than Android and iOS in terms of security as its security model inside is quite restrictive.

Microsoft has rolled out the same build to PCs and it also comes with bug fixes. While Microsoft has detailed all the changes for PC, the company hasn’t confirmed whether or not the new build for mobile includes even one noticeable change.
