We had earlier reported that Microsoft will soon be replacing its Skype for Business application with Microsoft Teams app for Office 365 customers. The Redmond Giant has been working on the Teams app very rigorously to improve the app on the whole.

The Teams desktop app recently received a new update by adding calling features last month. Today Microsoft is pushing out a new update for its Teams app for iOS and Android by bringing support for HD audio and video calls.

You will be able to make audio and video calls with your team members already on the mobile apps on iOS and Android, but now with the latest update users will be able to call external numbers.

But for them to make external calls they would need to have an Enterprise Voice license with their Office 365 subscription. You would need to tap on the Calls button in the bottom bar to open up the Dial pad to enter the phone number. The other option now is that you will also be able to make personal calls to your contacts if the app is synced with your address book.

Along with the external calls option, the company also rolled out a new Assignment tab and an option to hide chat conversations both for iOS and Android. The Assignment tab will be helpful mainly to the teachers and students in the class using the Teams application.

The latest updates to the Microsoft Teams app is currently live and you can download them by clicking on the below store links.
