Microsoft is planning to rebrand the Windows Store to Microsoft Store on all Windows 10 Devices. Yesterday, Microsoft released an update to Windows Store for Windows Insiders on the Release Preview Ring. The update was also released for Windows 10 Mobile but only a few selected users received the update and later Microsoft stopped the rollout.
On the other hand, almost all Windows 10 PCs on the Release Preview Ring have received the update. At the moment, it appears that it is also not possible to update Windows Store on Windows 10 Mobile whereas, on PC, you cannot update some first-party apps.
Due to a backend bug, Release Preview Ring Insiders cannot update the apps on the Windows Store. It will be fixed in the next few days and Microsoft will also resume the rebranding of Windows Store on Windows Phones.
You can, however, download the appx and sideload the new Microsoft Store to Windows 10 Mobile, PC and enjoy the new experience on your device. What do you think about the new Microsoft Store?
