With the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15031 company also rolling out an update to the Outlook Mail and Calendar app. The latest update bring couple of new features and improvements.

Basically the update to the Windows Insider bring a slight change to the user interface. Outlook Mail now displays the avatars of email contacts in the inbox pane, so you can see who sent you an email at a glance. And for the contacts with no avatars, they now get new colorful icons in the app with their initials.

Company already made this feature available for the Android app about couple of years ago and now eventually this feature arrive for the Windows 10 devices too. Of course this new feature surely make little bit more sexier and also allow users to parse emails little faster. Previously users already raised their voice about concerning the user avatar and more then 2500 users already singed a petition demanding company to remove avatar.

But now I believe everyone should be happy with this decision. The latest update takes the app to version  17.7906.42007.0 and it is available for Insiders on the Fast Ring for both PC and Mobile device. Go ahead and grab the latest update of app and let us know in a comment below if you find any other improvements in this update.

Don’t you think that it would be great if we see colorful avatar in Microsoft People app too?
