WhatsApp today released a new update for its stable version of the application. The app has been bumped to new version 2.18.18.0. The latest update for the stable version comes with UI changes to the Calling section of the application along with new hidden features for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile users.
The latest update brings a new UI for the calling section of the WhatsApp application for Windows Phone users. The new UI was in testing for some weeks in the Beta application for Windows and finally has now made it to the stable version of the application for all users.
With the latest update you will be able to quickly switch between a Voice to a Video call. You would however need to have the acceptance of the person you are having a voice call. During a Voice call you will have the option to move to a Video call without disconnecting by clicking on the Video call button.
The opposite person will receive a notification to have a video call from the present Voice call, once the request is accepted you will be able to have a video call with the person.
The latest update also comes with some new hidden feature like support for new 3rd party Stickers. WhatsApp will be supporting 3rd party stickers in the near future and currently this option is hidden in the latest update.
We will let you know once the feature is available for all users. The latest update to the WhatsApp application is currently live and you can get it by clicking the below Microsoft Store link.
