Facebook is updating WhatsApp for Windows Phone 8.X and Windows 10 Mobile devices. Since two-three months, the Facebook-owned WhatsApp stopped updating its app for Windows Phone 8.X while the app on Windows 10 Mobile was up-to-date.

The new updated version 2.17.262 is also available on the Windows Phone Store for old devices and as well as on the Windows Store for Windows 10 Mobile. WhatsApp has also released a server-side update that fixes an error where the messaging app was asking users to update WhatsApp even though the app was up-to-date.

The latest update for WhatsApp also brings improvements and bug fixes. The company has fixed some UI glitches on low-end Windows 10 phones. The update also improves the overall performance of the messaging app.

WhatsApp has promised that they will continue to support Windows Phone 8.0 until the end of this year. On the other hand, WhatsApp has no plan to cut support for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile anytime soon. You can download the latest update from the below Windows Store link.
