Windows Phone Store is slowly losing the apps as the developers are no longer interested in Microsoft’s mobile platform. Some companies have cited a lack of Windows Phone users as a reason to abandon the platform.

In past few weeks, big names such as Flipboard have dropped the support for Windows Phone operating system. It appears that WhatsApp is not working on Windows Phone anymore, many users are unable to open the app as it throws an error, “This version of WhatsApp has expired, go to the Windows Store and upgrade the app.”

Despite WhatsApp is up-to-date, the users are unable to access the messaging app. Plaffo has confirmed that it is a bug and WhatsApp is not giving up on Windows Phone for now.

The Facebook-owned WhatsApp will support Windows Phone 8.0 until the end of 2017. On other hand, WhatsApp hasn’t announced its plan to abandon Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 10 Mobile. Is WhatsApp working for you? Let us know in the comments below.
