Microsoft yesterday released a new update for its Skype app for Windows 10 Mobile. With the latest Skype Update users will now be able to view GIF’s within the app. Users can view GIF’s sent in the SMS messages in the Skype app.

Apart from the GIF’s availability now within the app, the Skype team have also added a link for easy access to settings in chat for the narration of Instant Chat Messages. There are also the general bug fixes and performance improvements to the Skype application.

Microsoft has recently released a new Skype app with new UI for iOS and Android and is expected to release the new Skype app to Windows 10 users very soon. The availability of the GIF’s could well be the first step towards bringing the new Skype app to Windows 10 users.
