WhatsApp team today pushed out a new update for its Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile App to new version 2.17.84. The update did not bring any new features but has brought an issue with the Notifications for the Application. If you are on new version 2.17.84 then you might be facing issues with the Notifications on WhatsApp currently.
Lot of users have been complaining that they aren’t able to receive any incoming Notifications for Messages which has made the app useless. The Messages only seem to appear once the users open the WhatsApp Application. The issue is being faced by all users on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile.
Currently we are not sure as to what has actually been causing this issue, we presume that it could well be a Server Issue which should be resolved with the next update. The issue appears to be a global issue as lot of users from different parts of the world are facing the Notification Issue.
We have currently reached out to the WhatsApp Team and are awaiting response from the team on the issue. Hopefully the team is currently working on the issue and the same should be resolved in the next Beta update.
If you haven’t taken the latest WhatsApp Beta update, then we advise you not to do so and wait for a new update which should be available soon.
