Microsoft had introduced a feature in their online Skype and OneDrive Services that allowed users to make use of the Skype experience on websites without opening the Skype app or Skype Website.

However, Microsoft’s Skype was unable to determine which Skype client was active at the moment and send notifications to phone, PC etc., which was a bit annoying to lot of users. Now, to avoid all the issues Microsoft has added a new button in the Settings menu which falls under the “Notifications”  sub menu and is labelled “Turn notification sounds on or off”, allowing users to turn off Skype notification alerts so that the users don’t get disturbed when using Outlook or OneDrive.

The disable option works not only on one website but all websites, meaning if you turn it off on one website it will be reflected on all the others. This change is a minor one but was requested by lot of Skype users since long.

So what do our users think about the new option introduced by the Redmond Giant for its Skype users, should out your thoughts in the comments below.
