Update: Microsoft says that issue with Xbox Live sign-in has now been resolved. The company is aware of reports where users are running into issues with purchasing new content over Xbox Live. Microsoft is investigating the reports and this bug will be addressed soon. Original story follows below.

On January 30, several gamers reported Xbox One black screen issues. Yesterday, Xbox Live was hit with another issue and users reported downloading errors on Xbox console. All these issues were fixed after a few hours, but it appears that peace was short-lived as Xbox Live is down again.

According to various reports, Xbox Live isn’t working for everyone at the moment and players are complaining about the outage on Twitter.

On February 1, 2019, users are reporting Xbox One sign-in issues and the service also appears to be broken on Windows 10. Microsoft has confirmed the issue on its status site, and the company is working on a workaround.

Many people are still reporting that they are unable to sign back in. While Xbox Live is primarily known as the service on Xbox One, there is also a problem for gamers using the service to connect with friends on Windows 10 PCs.

“Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live,” Microsoft confirmed. “If you’re running into errors attempting to sign in or access previously purchased content, our teams are aware and working to identify the cause,” the company stated in a tweet.

Xbox Live outage

The bug in the question prevents people from signing into Xbox Live on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, which causes various problems.

In the latest update, Microsoft has noted that the Xbox team is actively engaged in addressing the issues related to sign-in and accessing the digital content.

“We have teams actively engaged on issues related to sign in and accessing previously purchased content. We’ll update again when we’ve identified the cause. Our status page will also have updates related to these issues,” the company explained in a most recent tweet.

Xbox Live is down on February 1

At the time of writing this story, Xbox Live is still down and the service is experiencing issues with sign in. If you are unable to sign into Xbox Live, you will experience issues when managing your account.

According to Microsoft’s status page, gamers on Windows 10 and Xbox One console could face issues when signing in; creating, managing, or recovering an account.

As noted above, box Live is down across Xbox One and Windows 10 devices. We are live updating this article whenever new information is available.
