According to the official changelog, this update addresses the broken Windows Media Player’s Seek Bar feature. The issue was reported last month and as expected, the fix has been delivered with December patch.

Last month, some users reported that the November patch introduced an issue that broke the seek bar in Windows Media Player on some devices. At that time, the company confirmed a fix will be shipped by mid-December and it is included in the cumulative updates rolling out to Windows 10 devices today.

This update also includes the security updates for Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Wireless Networking, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Authentication and Windows Kernel.

There are no other changes included in December 11 update for Windows 10 version 1809 as tons of fixes were delivered last week.

Microsoft says there are no known issues in this release but details will be shared if and when a new bug is discovered.

Windows 10 October 2018 Update is being gradually shipped to devices and it may not show up on all devices now. While there are various ways to download and install the Windows 10 version 1809 right now, you’re always recommended to wait until the update is offered to your device.
