Microsoft has just started rolling out Windows 10 April 2018 Update to everyone with a supported PC, and it comes with a plethora of changes and the upgrade is recommended for everyone. The newest version of the operating system comes with a long series of improvements and new features.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update, also known as Windows 10 version 1803 doesn’t come with too many groundbreaking features, but instead, the OS is getting a plethora of smaller changes to refine the performance. You may not notice too many new features in this update, but the refinements should improve the overall user experience.

Microsoft is bringing Focus Assist, a rebranded and improved version of Quiet Hours to the operating system with today’s update. Microsoft previously introduced Quiet Hours in the Fall Creators Update. Microsoft says that Focus Assist can be used to focus on your work and it can automatically silent notifications when running a series of tasks like playing games.

You can configure the settings to get most out of Focus Assist. The company has added a series of options like the ability to allow apps bypass the do not disturb time so that the notifications would show up.

Windows 10’s default browser Microsoft Edge is also getting several new changes, including improved Fluent Design touch. The company is bringing the Fluent Design’s Blur and Reveal effect to different elements of the browser including History, Favourites, Bookmarks and the entire HUB.

Microsoft is also adding a new feature that would allow users to easily recover the local account on the lock screen. The company says that you can recover local accounts from the lock screen even if you forget the password. To recover the account, all you need to do is click “I forgot my password/PIN” option under the password box, and your account will be recovered.

Microsoft is once again bringing settings from Control Panel to Windows 10’s default Settings app, the transition is part of the company’s efforts to make the Settings app the one destination for everything.

The latest update is bringing Disk Cleanup to the Settings app, and it can be used to remove unnecessary files from the system and free up space on the local drives. You can find the all-new Disk Cleanup in Settings > System > Storage > Free up space now.

Microsoft is also focusing on privacy controls with today’s update. The company has often been accused of collecting too much data from Windows 10 systems. The newest version of Windows 10 introduces a tool which allows users to see the collected data and delete them. You can find the tool in Settings > Diagnostics & feedback > Diagnostic data viewer / Delete Diagnostic data.
