Windows 10 Spring Creators Update

Microsoft has accidentally leaked the name of its next Windows 10 release codenamed ‘Redstone 4’ in the latest Insider Bug Bash announcement post. The next release of Windows 10 will be called ‘Spring Creators Update’, while we’re not sure if the name has been finalised. If the new name is believed to be true, the software giant is going with the ‘Creators’ branding yet again. However, unlike the Fall Creators Update, the Windows 10 Redstone 4 is not for creators.

Windows 10 Spring Creators Update will land in April and it will introduce a number of features, the new update features are aimed at productivity. As the name suggests, Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is projected to launch in Spring (April), you can always download the latest updates in advance by signing up for the Insiders program.

The Windows 10 Spring Creators Update change log is absolutely huge, with plenty of new features included such as Timeline. Windows 10’s Timeline is one of the best features getting launched with the Spring Creators Update, Timeline lets you resume the past activities on your PC. The activities will be synced in the background with Windows 10, Android and iPhones as long as the same Microsoft account is being used.

If you’ve signed up for the Windows Insiders program, you can enable the Timeline features from the taskbar icon. The Timeline feature in Windows 10 has a card based information that relies on activities and the cards have unique information.

“In Timeline, a user activity is the combination of a specific app and a specific piece of content you were working on at a specific time. Each activity links right back to a webpage, document, article, playlist, or task, saving you time when you want to resume that activity later,” Microsoft explains.

Microsoft could have chosen a better name for the next Windows 10, it goes without saying that the name Spring Creators Update sounds repetitive. What do you think about ‘Windows 10 Spring Creators Update’? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
