Windows 10’s Skype UWP app is getting a new update with improvements for all Windows 10 Mobile and PC users. The update for Skype includes general bug fixes, performance related improvements and enabling of full support for notification panel.

This is the same update which was released to Windows 10 Mobile and PC users in the Fast Ring last week. The app has been updated to new version 12.13.257.0.

With the latest update for Skype the images in the collections are now displayed in full. The Skype team has removed reactions to images in collections along with removing the icons in the chat profile of the contacts.

Apart from removing some features the team has made sure to make improvements to the preview image link along with improving the Fluent Design elements which were pushed out to the Skype app in previous updates.

As reported above the update is available for download on all Windows 10 Mobile and PC users. The last update for Skype added instant chat feature, to compete with WhatsApp which allows users to add your friends as contacts and start a group conversation.
