Microsoft launched the Lumia 950 and 950 XL with the Windows Hello feature and now it is Windows 10’s key feature. Apple is also planning to use the Iris-scanner on the upcoming iPhone 8. The design of iPhone 8 has been confirmed in a new leak and as well as the new face unlock feature.

The latest reports have confirmed that Apple could ditch the fingerprint scanner with upcoming rumoured iPhone 8. Apple will either use the user’s face or the iris to unlock the iPhone.

Apple accidentally released a firmware for the unreleased HomePod smart speaker. The developers were able to figure out that the codes have components of the iPhone 8. Steve confirmed on Twitter that upcoming iPhone will have the infra-red face unlock feature.

Microsoft is one of the first companies who adopted Iris-scanner on their smartphones. Microsoft Surface devices now also feature the Windows Hello technology. Slowly all big companies have started to integrate the Iris scanner on their smartphones and laptops. The rumour has it that all Apple’s upcoming iPhones will have the face unlock feature.

It remains to be seen whether or not the iPhone 8’s face unlock feature will able to out perform the Lumia 950’s Windows Hello.
