Microsoft is currently working on releasing its next major update to all Windows 10 users in April, Redstone 4 aka Spring Creators Update. The company would be glad and happy to hear a report which confirms that Microsoft latest Windows 10 operating system Fall Creators Update is running on 90.4% PCs worldwide.

The 90.4% PCs worldwide are currently running the company’s Windows 10 version 1709 on their PCs and should well be gearing up to download Microsoft’s next major update, Spring Creators Update due in April.

The 90.4% percentage of PCs running the latest version of the Operating system would mean that 9 PCs out of 10 have downloaded the latest version 1709 on their PCs and are up to date with all the new features and security updates which the Redmond Giant releases from time to time.

This could be good news for Microsoft since it has been working on providing Windows as a Service since the company discontinues support for the older version of the operating system after the release of any new update in the market.

As per reports, Anniversary update, which is going to be retired next month is running on 3.6% of the computers while the company’s other version, Windows 10 Creators Update has been adopted by 4.3% of users worldwide.

Currently 90.4% of Microsoft’s devices are running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update out of which Toshiba have a higher percentage of adoption at 93.8% running version 1709 with Lenovo being next with 88.4% users.

Seeing the above numbers we can hope that once Microsoft releases its next version of the OS, Redstone 4 with version 1803 in the first half of April we would expect the users to upgrade to the latest version as soon as it is available on their devices.

As is the trend with Microsoft, the company releases the update to general public in stages to make sure that it fixes any optimisation issues before rolling out the update to all Windows 10 users.
