After releasing Meltdown and Spectre patches earlier this month, Microsoft is now pushing out yet another Windows 10 update. Microsoft is today rolling out Windows 10 KB4056254 to all versions of the operating system. Windows KB4056254 comes with no new features, major changes or security fixes.

Microsoft started rolling out this update yesterday and the company says that the update is available for everyone with Build 10240+. The KB4056254 is titled as Windows 10 update facilitation service.

The KB4056254 basically improves Windows Update system in Windows 10, in other words, Microsoft is fixing the bugs in Windows Update system. It’s worth noting that all versions of Windows 10 are getting the update which would improve the system that handles the general software update.

“This update includes a background service for update facilitation in Windows 10 Version 1507 and later versions (build 10240 and later builds). This update includes files and resources that make sure that operating system updates are installed seamlessly and that improve the reliability and security of Windows 10,” Microsoft explains in a support page.

So far the year 2018 has been busy for Microsoft as the company has shipped a lot of updates for all supported version of the operating system including Windows 7. To download the latest update, open the Settings app and navigate to Updates & Security -> Windows Updates -> Check for updates.
