Thomson Reuters in its new list for Top 100 Global Technology Leaders confirms that Microsoft has taken the leading spot overtaking Apple and Google to become the World’s Number 1 Technology Leader.

Microsoft is followed by Intel and Cisco with Apple and IBM also making it to the Top 10 list of Number 1 technology leaders. Thomson Reuters analyzed a lot of performance indicators based on benchmarks like financial, management, risk, legal compliance before creating its list of Top 10 Technology leaders.

Microsoft’s revenue in the productivity and business processes showed an increase of 28% in the latest quarters to reach $8.2 billion with support from Office commercial products which grew at 10%. The other areas were the Redmond Giant had performed well in the latest quarters were Intelligent Cloud which increased by 14% and server products showed a growth of 17%..

The company had also taken into account the investors confidence in their company along with social responsibility towards its customers, the reputation of the company amongst the technical world and its customers.

All the above points were taken into consideration by Thomson Reuters before arriving at the position of Number 1 and declaring Microsoft as the World’s Number 1 Technology Leader beating its competitors Apple and Google to the top spot.
